“Republican candidates for governor and secretary of state across the country have made clear they are willing to undermine and endanger our democracy for political gain. Today’s vote is an important step forward to protecting the integrity of future presidential elections from those threats. We hope the House and Senate will work together to reform the Electoral Count Act, as well as pass legislation to protect the freedom to vote.
